SYSTEM FUNCTIONALITY

Registry Maintenance
The whole system is based on a unified registry. Management of the basic data is quick and easy, specially when it comes to searching the article and client base. The customer-specific data is partly manually, partly automatically introduced in the article/customer table belonging to the article base. One customer can be correlated with different types of information. Discounts may be given to regular customers, students or teachers. In the case of bookstore-chains, the system separately registers the central office and sales points, and manages internal trade es well. Agents can be registered as special customers.

Storage Base
One bookshop may have more stores, in this case the system makes it possible to query the supply. Consigned stocks are handled as a special storage module.

Stock Management
Stocks received in consignment and own stocks are treated separately. Periodically, the system settles the accounts and generates reports towards suppliers. It also offers inventory support: opens the inventory, prints the inventory list, registers the result and closes the inventory. The system handles different kinds of stocks (eg. normal vs. rejects) and tracks supply movement. It can generate closing proposals to stocks that are no longer selling. In the case of chain stores users can survey the supply of different stores and move them from one shop to another.

Purchase
The system registers minimum and maximum stocks on a shop level and generates daily purchase proposals. It also tracks the state of purchasing orders. If the quantity of received supply is confirmed the system automatically proposes closing the order.

Sale
Registering simple, every -day sale is quick and easy. Bar code readers are used to register a sale, and payment is handled by connection with the cash - register program. Besides normal sales, the system also registers customer orders and offers the possibility to book stocks in advance if necessary. Biblion manages customer interests, orders in advance and afterwards. It can also register vouchers, as special means of payment.

Billing
The system offers the possibility to rename/change an article while billing. For customers, who receive discounts, the system automatically discharges the discounted percentage. It also manages correcting or cancelled invoices. It supports special means of payment (by credit/ debit cards, vouchers, etc.).

Lists, reports
The Biblion System contains a vast range of lists and reports, defined after different parameters (ex. sales reports on a period, customer, editor or sales point).
